How Brilliant Can Help Your Students?
Effective math and science learning
1Excites.
The greatest challenges to education are disinterest and apathy.
2Cultivates curiosity.
Questions and storytelling that cultivate natural curiosity are better than the threat of a test.
3Is active.
Effective learning is active, not passive. Watching a video is not enough.
4Is applicable.
Use it or lose it: it is essential to apply what you're learning as you learn it.
5Is community driven.
A community that challenges and inspires you is invaluable.
6Doesn't discriminate.
Your age, country, and gender don't determine what you are capable of learning.
7Allows for failure.
The best learners allow themselves to make many mistakes along their journey.
8Sparks questions.
The culmination of a great education isn't knowing all the answers — it's knowing what to ask.

What is Competitive Kids STEM (CKSTEM)?
Competitive Kids STEM (CKSTEM) is a registered Canadian nonprofit organization focused on providing students competitive opportunities in STEM. It helps students to learn complex topics so that they are prepared to compete nationally and globally.
Which CANADIAN educators are eligible?
All Canadian Educators who want their students to excel are welcome to register for the program completely free. You need to register using your school email address to qualify for this program. HOW CAN I REGISTER FOR THIS PROGRAM?
You just need to fill the registration form. We will tell you the following steps to get free Brilliant accounts for your class.
HOW MANY STUDENTS CAN I REQUEST FROM MY CLASS?

What are brilliant lessons?
Courses are the core of Brilliant's content. Each course contains a sequence of lessons arranged by conceptual topics. Currently, at 60+ courses in math, science, and computing. Brilliant's content catalog continues to expand and the team continues to push the envelope to deliver more interactive and engaging content to our users.
A Brilliant lesson is an opportunity for a student to own a discovery, no matter how small.
Like a captivating puzzle, what captures the learner's attention is the structure of the lesson. It unfolds in layers as they are invited to manipulate its contents. As they go deeper, the underlying logic of its structure becomes clearer. Mistakes aren't dead-ends — they're opportunities. Each new challenge feels significant, but the insight required to overcome it feels just within reach. Each small discovery compels the learner to peel open the next layer to find the next challenge. What are brillant daily challenges?
Daily Challenges ("DC") are a daily microcosm of the Brilliant learning experience. DC challenges are bite-sized, simple (at least at first glance), and can be great to spark interest and curiosity in a conceptual topic and more discovery in a related Brilliant course or lesson.
These fun, individual math, science, and computer science questions can be done in ~5-10 minutes and they often have multiple solutions, which make them wonderful content for group learning activities, eliciting excellent student conversations. To learn more please visit here.
What level of access do students have?
Students have access to any content their teacher assigns to them. Teachers can assign up to 6 courses at any time and any number of Daily Challenges per classroom they have created. Students can enroll in classrooms created by multiple teachers. Students can see all of the courses and Daily Challenges that Brilliant offers, but are limited to only the beginning of each unless assigned by the teacher.
How do Educators use Brilliant?
Brilliant is full of fun, challenging, and interactive content that will give your students the opportunity to think deeply and explore concepts. Brilliant is not meant to replace your core curriculum, but to serve as a supplemental tool that helps you engage your students in their STEM learning journey. Brilliant is not an assessment platform. We hope that you and your students enjoy our inquiry-based approach to core content and investigating topics not always found in a school setting.
